Kotaku also has an article about Valve's crazy eyetracking tech für Portal 2 and the other thing with Left 4 Dead 2... will get to reading this later... hungry now...
Sounds interesting, but unfortunately there was not much to see in the videos, don't quite get the whole thing... other wise i would've blogged this, but so it's only a bookmark, for the record...
Now they released a longer gameplay trailer, and still, holy shit, does this look good!
Most realistic animations i have seen yet, great lighting and maybe most importantly: The sound! Battlefield always had great sound, or at least, as far i can tell, as i have not played the first couple installments of the series, 2142 and Bad Company 2 did / does, but they really nailed it in this one. Most believable ambience reverb i ever heard in a game! Also, but this really does not surprise me, gun sounds, voices, overall sound effects, everything is just as tight as it can get. Fun Fact: They used sound effects very cleverly to overdub swear words, thought that was kinda cool.
I do not want Crysis 2 any more (sorry Crytek), i want THIS game! Now!
No, that is not a typo in the title. It is actually called “UnboundED”. As a matter of fact, i accidentally typed in “Unbound” in the first place, until i realized what was going on...
So, is this supposed to be funny? I guess it is, because the trailer is hilarious(ed):
w00t, CRYSIS 2 multiplayer demo is out! Just downloaded it on Steam and played for an hour, the first thing i noticed was how i got my ass handed to me... well, i played with an Xbox360 controller in front of my tv, so it’s noone’s fault but my own... but i basically just wanted to see how it runs, looks, feels, and as i already was sitting comfy on my couch...
So how does it run? There are only three basic graphics quality settings to choose from, without fancy knobs and tweaks like we PC gamers are used to: “Gamer”, “Advanced” and “Hardcore”. I took no prisoners, set it to the latter and the resolution to Full HD. Have to say, runs quite smoothly on my 2 year old machine and looks very pretty! Seems the CryEngine 3 is doing a damn good job, just like CRYTEK promised it would.
Of course, there was no time to really enjoy the scenery, but from what i could see, besides the floor, everything is very shiny, feels nice and polished. Just what you would expect from CRYTEK.
Also, i like how you can, and have to, access the nano suit for extra powers. You can activate armor, cloak yourself and use several different types of vision. As we know from CRYSIS (1), the amount of power used for this is limited, so same here. Cloak vanishes quite rapidly, while the armor stays on you a while.... on others as well, of course...
In the beginning it felt a bit overwhelming, getting used to the controls and the maps (there’s two of them in the demo), i would always forget to use the powers and die instantly. So i guess you really have to learn to utilize them cleverly to succeed, might actually not be an overstatement when they say “it’s a gamechanger”... like in the well made intro movie, which explains how it works in an entertaining way. Here’s a preview video if that:
Alright, enough of the chatter, i want to get back into the shit and have my ass returned to where it belongs! This time i will sit at my desk in front of a keyboard and mouse... and we’ll see who’s laughing now, beeeatches! :-P

Heard about this half asleep in the last PC Gamer Podcast last Fridayy night and instantly got out of bed to watch the damn trailer. Well, actually i stayed in bed, because my phone is a computer now... but i sat up, because i had to sit, or else the trailer would have literally floored me. I knew this before watching it, lying down... yeah, doesn't make sense, but you know what does make sense? THIS FUCKING TRAILER!!!!
43 seconds... watched it at least 43 times... it is a teaser... and tease it does... so... damn... good... just do yourself a favor and watch it, will you?
Saugut, saugut, saugut! Hab wirklich ein paar mal laut gelacht, einige sehr einfallsreiche Fotos mit klasse passenden Bildunterschriften dabei. Recht nerdig teilweise, so muss es sein! Wer das Original nicht kennt: http://kimjongillookingatthings.tumblr.com/ [via Interweb3000 @ FB]
Alright, one more until i am off for the weekend: Sugar Ray’s stone old hit “Mean Machine”, which i just remembered while blogging that Green Machine thing... “Mean Machine” is known from 1998 Playstation game “Road Rash 3D”. Yeah, Baby!
