“Reinhardt” [updated]

Yay, WordPress 3.1 is out! List of changes reads interesting, am really eager to try it out. Yet a bit timid to run the update, will it go wrong? What if i don’t like it? What if it doesn’t like me?

Maybe i should get some sleep first and try tomorrow...

[UPDATE]

No, could not wait, had to install it... of course, not without making backups beforehand... still went totally smooth, everything is where it should be... except for my logo, which gets confused by the new “Admin Bar” which shows on the front-end when you are logged in. It is a neat feature, though i am not quite sure if i need it. We’ll see.

Just found out that the “Admin Bar” can also be configured to be displayed when viewing the back-end, or not at all. Think i will use it, in case i get that annoying logo fixed. It’s got a fixed position, i know how lame that is... about damn time to change it!

more time passes...

Alright, logo is now behaving correctly, together with the Admin Bar (which i am actually starting to like; the “Edit Post” button in particular). Just had to move it into the actual header-div, where it should have belonged in the first place. But you know how it is, sometimes you get lazy... had just dropped a random div below the body tag inside my theme’s “header.php” file, attached the logo as background-image and gave it absolute positioning coordinates. Thought with absolute positioning it would not make a difference where the div was placed...

Also, i had put a hyperlink around the div...

*double_facepalm*

...though that is now corrected as well. Guess it’s time for my beauty sleep now...
